About Me

My name is Tara Zulfikar and I am an Indonesian filmmaker and a recent graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Film and Television. My primary roles are as a director and producer, but I also contribute as part of the camera team - culminating to a holistic understanding of filmmaking.

I worked with the production team on the US unit of the upcoming Netflix original series Ratu-Ratu Queens and have worked on commercials and interviews for Netflix as well as AMC Networks.

I also partook as Unit Production Manager on shorts such as Double Happiness directed by Shari Albert (Newport Beach Film Festival, Soho International Film Festival) and as Line Producer on Vis-á-Vis by Mamadou Yattassaye (Creator Camp Film Festival).

My directing work has been recognized with several accolades, including a jury nomination at NFFTY (National Film Festival for Talented Youth) and awards at the Independent Shorts Awards and selections at Greenpoint Film Festival.
